Temple Tours

  1. Tours are scheduled for every Wednesday, 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month, and by prior registration only. In case fewer than four persons are registered for any particular date, management reserves the option of rescheduling the tour to a future date. Requests from large groups to arrange tours on unscheduled day and time would be considered subject to availability of tour guides. The talk and tour generally last about 90 minutes and may include a power-point presentation or handout. The tours are presented under the auspices of the HTW PR Committee, whose chairperson is Dr. Charul Munshi and Co-Chair is Amrat Lodhia.
  2. To arrange a tour, please e-mail your request to amratlal.lodhia@gmail.com with the following information which will help us serve you better:
      . Name of Organization and Contact person
      . Number of Adults and children (age or grade)
      . Telephone number and e-mail
  3. Students who wish to gather material for a paper for their religion class or wish to have us fill a questionnaire will be assigned to one of the tour guides after registration.
  4. The dress code is modest, and visitors will be requested to remove their shoes only when entering the main hall of the temple. No person (other than the priest) is allowed to enter the sanctorum where the deity is installed. Photography and cell phones are strictly prohibited in the main hall.
  5. Hindu worship service is individual and family oriented, so please respect the privacy and silence when such service is being performed. We have congregational service only on important festival days.
  6. Dr. Charul Munshi c1s2n3@yahoo.com the chairperson for the PR Committee will arrange and share information regarding yoga classes, spiritual talks and physical and mental health programs at the temple.
  7. We are occasionally asked if there is a fee for the tour. There is no fee but DONATIONS are always welcome. You may place cash in the donation box or make a check payable to the Hindu Temple of Wisconsin, especially if you need an acknowledgement.
  8. At the end of the tour, your guide will hand you an evaluation form. Please complete and return it in the attached envelope as this will help us improve our services to the general public. We receive numerous requests from groups and individuals throughout the year and are sincerely striving to do our best to serve the interests and needs of the wider community.
  9. SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS: Speakers on Hindu religion, culture and tradition are also available for outside lectures, seminars and panel discussions, and to talk to schools, churches, civic and interfaith groups in the larger community.
