Math, Spelling, Vocabulary Bee, and Public Speaking Workshops

The NSF chapter of Milwaukee is conducting Spelling, Math, Vocabulary and Public Speaking workshops for Indian American Children. These workshops are designed to encourage and prepare children to take part in NSF and other similar contests.

Participation in Public Lectures and Community Outreach Efforts of the Education Committee

Public talks and educational lectures are an indispensable part of the community outreach efforts of the Hindu Temple and the Education Committee would like to draw upon the expertise of our members who are interested and knowledgeable about our culture and religion and could best represent our interests in the wider community.

As a start, we would like to come up with a list of speaker-participants and would therefore like to invite interested persons to e-mail the Chair their topics of interest and expertise (in order of preference), as well as the time and days they are usually available, so that we could draw upon their valuable resources for furthering the community outreach efforts of our Hindu Temple.

Hindi Courses at UWM

The Education Committee of the HTW is committed to strengthening our interfaith initiatives, as well as our relationships with the wider Milwaukee community and with local universities and other institutions of higher learning. The enclosed links announcing UWM School of Continuing Education's classes on Hinduism, Gandhi, and the Hindi language are an important part of this outreach effort. The Education Committee invites the members to contribute their time, effort, ideas, and suggestions to make our community outreach activities a grand success.
